Purchasing Specialist-Ammunition & Reloading
About The Position
MidwayUSA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for their Ammunition & Reloading category. This role involves working with a Merchandising Manager to purchase products, build supplier relationships, and serve customers. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of purchase orders in alignment with merchandising and company strategies. Key duties include negotiating with suppliers for product information and delivery schedules, participating in promotion planning and implementation, assisting with inventory analysis and management, and reviewing supplier performance metrics to drive improvements.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience in a position requiring attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field is required.

- You have a positive attitude and a willingness to continuously improve our processes.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Purchase Order management, in alignment with the Merchandising & Company strategies through the life cycle of the purchase order.
- Meet and negotiate with Suppliers to develop opportunities, obtain product or service information and manage delivery schedules.
- Participate in Promotions planning and implementation.
- Assist the Merchandising Manager with analysis and management of Inventory.
- Review Supplier Performance metrics & suggest & implement measures to drive improvement.
