About The Position

This is an entry-level Purchasing Associate position responsible for managing material procurement, vendor communication, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for projects. The role involves communicating delivery dates, purchasing within budget, managing new vendor approvals, negotiating shipment dates, and verifying order acknowledgements. The associate will also procure sourcing material, manage vendor documentation, notify stakeholders of cost overruns or delays, reconcile purchase orders, and ensure complete and timely material ordering for all projects. Special projects as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated strength in creative thought and visual problem solving
  • SAP and proficiency of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Basic knowledge of material cycle counting and basic administrative tasks
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
  • Bilingual (Fluency in English and Korean is required)
  • Ability to Relocate to Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Communicate expected delivery dates to vendors at, or prior to, the time the purchase order is submitted.
  • Purchase material within the company budget for each project material phase.
  • New material vendor approval management
  • Negotiate favorable shipment dates when possible.
  • Follow up with vendors after purchase orders are sent to ensure orders are processed by vendors in a timely manner.
  • Verify order acknowledgements against the basis of order document (typically an updated vendor quote) for accuracy.
  • Procure sourcing material, establish new vendors, and manage vendor documentation.
  • Notify field operations and project management regarding any material cost overruns and/or material delays
  • Reconcile purchase orders to verify they match invoices.
  • Ensure that all material is accurately, timely and completely ordered for each project.
  • Other special projects as assigned
