The purpose of the Purchasing Manager is to perform replenishment of all assigned inventory items in order to increase category profitability and streamline operational efficiencies. This role involves representing Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude, and adhering to the dress code. The manager will oversee the replenishment of products within assigned categories, ensuring supply is balanced with demand at the best possible price. Key responsibilities include performing administrative functions such as purchasing system management, price verification, and new item requests. The role also manages the purchase order process from inception to delivery and, where applicable, manages the daily job responsibilities of assigned Purchasing Assistants, providing feedback to the Director of Purchasing. The Purchasing Manager is expected to consistently demonstrate and model good management and self-management practices in support of the BEK culture and manage purchasing levels based on pre-determined guidelines.
