About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and affordable healthcare services to underserved communities. GPHA has grown into a leading provider of ambulatory medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area, offering on-site services such as laboratory, pharmacy, and language interpretation. GPHA is currently seeking a full-time Purchasing Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in purchasing/procurement inventory control, systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with personnel.
  • Must possess good professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing, inventory control, vendor selection, and emergency procurement support.
  • Staff supervision, scheduling, cross-training, performance oversight, establishing department procedures, and managing departmental goals and projects.
  • Accurate recordkeeping, financial stewardship of resources, reporting key cost or pricing changes, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting GPHA’s mission and operational standards.
