About The Position

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead our sourcing, inventory, and purchasing activities. This role ensures materials are available to support production while managing costs, supplier relationships, and internal coordination.

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • 5–7 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing preferred

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage material needs based on production schedules
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and controls
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best cost and quality
  • Build and manage strong supplier relationships
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve issues quickly
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks and develop backup plans
  • Partner with operations, engineering, finance, and sales teams
  • Manage purchasing budgets and support cost-saving initiatives
  • Track key metrics (delivery performance, inventory levels, cost savings)
  • Use and improve ERP/MRP systems and purchasing processes
  • Support system automation and digital tools (such as EDI)
  • Lead and develop purchasing and warehouse staff
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and contracts
  • Drive continuous improvement across purchasing processes
