About The Position
A terrific, full-time opening has come available for an individual with buyer, commodity management or materials management experience in technical manufacturing environment as a Purchasing Manager. Must have experience managing a team of 10-20 buyers/material managers. This position would earn a lucrative base salary, a great benefits package including competitive insurance plans, and other outstanding perks. This role will require travel to supplier and vendor locations as well as other sites domestically and internationally as needed if there are issues with any product.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing and mentoring Buyers and Planners
- 7-10 years of buying experience
- Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) applications (Enterprise One preferred but not required)
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- BA in Business Administration or related field REQUIRED
- APICS or CPM certification HIGHLY desired
- Willing to travel to supplier locations both domestically and internationally as needed
