About The Position

Establish and maintain inventory accuracy across all Balance Sheet inventory categories utilizing provided ERP software. Manage and hold vendor accountability resulting in a vendor attributable Quality Case reduction from 13.1% to <5%. Ensure 98%+ inventory service in support of production demands while maintaining a simple turn on inventory investment. Reduce overall vendor lead times to no greater than 3 weeks on all critical production and stock position products. Develop an approved and execute to reduce Excess inventory levels to less than 24-month consumption. Negotiate and maintain favorable sourcing, pricing and payment terms with all direct material vendors that meet the company’s directed cash and service level objectives. Effectively serve as an integral common denominator between plant, field and sales operations on all processes involving inventory. Own and develop robust and scalable internal processes for inventory management that can support 3x current activity. Establish and maintain best Min-Max/MRP practices to meet the mission. Hold vendors and stakeholders alike accountable for not following inventory movement processes in a timely manner. Participate in cross-functional team environment and openly advise company on leverage sourcing opportunities the benefit of the company.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with a group of diverse individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • At least 10 years’ experience with ERP, MRP and/or WMS packages
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an inventory management/purchasing role with a manufacturing or inventory intensive processing environment
  • Experience managing a minimum of $3M average monthly inventory value
  • Experience operating within a $15M+ revenue company
  • Experience managing a minimum of 2,000 SKUs
  • Strong O365 suite of product skills with better than average Excel skills
  • An analytical thought process and approach to complex tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Live within a reasonable commute distance of Pittsfield, ME location
  • A strong chemistry with the leadership and peer team
  • Organizational and time management skills and attention to detail is an absolute

  • Sage, MAS-90, Great Plains or JD Edwards ERP experience
  • Salesforce.com CRM experience
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple locations and states
  • Experience operating in a $30M+ revenue company
  • Advanced degree
