Responsible for all production related purchasing of supplies. This role involves placing timely orders for materials and supplies, researching sources for the highest quality and best value, establishing vendor files and inventory control records, and maintaining price records. The Purchasing Manager will also inform management of price increases, product availability, and economical alternatives, monitor and negotiate utility costs, and coordinate telecommunication services. Additionally, the role assists with the purchase of capital equipment and requires compliance with company policies and procedures, with additional duties assigned by management.
