About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager. The position will be based at our facility in El Paso, Texas. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading the procurement function, material planning governance, engineering change execution from a Supply Chain perspective, and the digital transformation of Supply Chain processes. This role ensures material availability, supplier performance, ERP data integrity, inventory optimization, and effective implementation of engineering changes while driving process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across procurement and planning operations. In a high-mix, engineered-to-order switchboard manufacturing environment serving hyperscale customers such as data centers, the Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in balancing customer demand, supplier capacity, inventory investment, and operational execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain, engineering or operations experience required

Responsibilities

  • Developes and executes sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, negotiates agreements, mitigates supply chain risks and collaborates closely with material planning, operations, engineering, project management, MPS and customer service to ensure material availability to meet customer commitments.
  • This role is responsible of a team of buyers (direct and MRO), inventory analysts to monitor engineering changes from the supply chain perspective and business process analyst to drive continuous improvement processes within supply chain.
  • Responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement execution and material availability functions to support a high-mix, high-volume electrical switchboard manufacturing operation serving ETO and Hyperscale Data Center customers.
