About The Position

Under the general guidance and direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Purchasing Manager manages the purchase of materials and supplies for all departments of Utah County Government. The role performs financial administrative and supervisory duties. The position is Grade 728, with a stated starting pay range of $86,153.60–$99,070.40. The schedule is 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, marketing, finance, or a related field.
• Four years of purchasing, procurement, and/or auditing experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and obtain a valid State of Utah driver’s license within 60 days of employment.
• Submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check if selected.

Nice To Haves

• One or more of the following certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management, Certified Public Professional Officer, Certified Procurement Professional, or Certified Public Manager.
• Government experience.
• Lead and/or supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree.
