About The Position

They are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to ensure the facility's purchasing needs are met efficiently, focusing on timing, price, location, and quantity. Requirements

  • Knowledge of packaging products or related materials (related work experience).
  • Valid passport and ability to travel to MPL locations across the US and Canada.
  • Must be extremely organized.
  • Good communication skills and possess excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office.

Nice To Haves

  • College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Spanish-speaking an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with greenhouse leaders, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill purchasing needs.
  • Review data to identify understocked items.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers based on order dictates.
  • Report, monitor, review, and track inventory accuracy in the ERP system, including slow-moving inventory.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure purchase orders are processed and delivered on time.
  • Ensure the integrity of ERP item files.
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
  • Report any discrepancies or problems.
  • Track and ensure claims are processed and credited.
  • Manage courier services (Fedex).
  • Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
  • Report any product quality issues immediately to the Purchasing team.
  • Ensure physical inventory of packaging is completed and tracked.
  • Keep all company information confidential.
  • Follow all company rules and regulations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
