About The Position

We are seeking an initiative-taking Purchasing Coordinator to join our fast-growing and dynamic team. The responsibilities of this position will vary but primarily focus on purchasing assistance. The expectation for this employee is that he or she will be in the office every Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5 PM. We are looking for someone who is extremely professional and courteous as this individual will be dealing with customers, vendors, and fellow employees. This position is one we hold in high regard to provide the level of service excellence our customers expect and deserve. Specific duties to include:

Requirements

  • Associate or equivalent degree or experience.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal manner to customers, vendors and to those within the company.
  • You must possess a positive attitude and be willing to interact with customers, co-workers, and other personnel always.
  • Commitment to integrity and Company Standards and Procedures.
  • Diligence and accuracy are necessary and ability to oversee confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Analyze vendor and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  • Assist in resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
  • Coordinate activities engaged in buying and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Work effectively with Project Managers and Operations personnel for order specific needs.
