About The Position

VSC Fire & Security in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking candidates for the position of Purchasing Coordinator. This role involves coordinating, ordering, and recording material handling, including placing product orders, receiving, storage, and record keeping to meet the needs of division projects. The Purchasing Coordinator will also maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies. Responsibilities include reviewing receiving reports, checking bills of lading and freight bills for correct quantity and items delivered, documenting all shipments and withdrawals, and inspecting for damage or errors. Requirements

Two to five years of related experience with logistics and ordering.
Excellent record keeping skills and knowledge of how a warehouse and job sites operate.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Professional and friendly demeanor for internal and external transactions.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
