About The Position

Provides support to department by processing storehouse requisition and distributing merchandise on daily basis. Responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CA driver's license with appropriate insurance coverage
  • 2 years in inventory control and/or purchasing position
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Ability to understand and follow directions accurately and on a timely basis
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Lifting of 50+ lbs
  • Driving daily throughout San Diego County
  • Constant walking and carrying of 50+ lbs
  • Work independently
  • Pre employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre employment PPDs. Compliance with all mandated vaccinations and all boosters is a term and condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of reports and written documentation including stock/inventory reports, as required by the department, company.
  • Receive merchandise from vendors; verifies packing slips to purchase orders for proper record keeping.
  • Prepare sales orders for shipping.
  • Prepare, coordinate and deliver merchandise to all departments and clinics.
  • Store merchandise received in storeroom according to established procedures.
  • Assist in taking inventory count as needed for internal/external purposes.
  • Answer phone calls and questions regarding orders from suppliers and staff.
  • Sort and weigh up all outgoing mail; affixes appropriate postage using postage meter; transports mail to post office.
  • Distribute incoming mail to corresponding departments.
  • Places orders online as needed.
  • Pick up and deliver deposit bags.
  • Comply with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation m educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
  • Attend meetings as required and participate in committees as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
