Requirements

Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, APEX, or similar platforms in a purchasing or materials management capacity.
Strong knowledge of materials management principles including inventory control, logistics, supply chain management, and procurement best practices.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
Proficiency in using spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making purposes.
Familiarity with purchasing management systems supported by technical teams for seamless procurement operations.
Excellent communication skills for vendor relationship management and internal collaboration across departments.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with accounting software or vendor negotiation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals, utilizing systems such as SAP, APEX, or equivalent ERP platforms.
Manage vendor communication to negotiate prices, contracts, delivery schedules, and service levels, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
Utilize purchasing management systems supported by technical teams to process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets to evaluate supplier performance, pricing trends, and procurement metrics for continuous improvement.
Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, purchase orders, vendor communications, and procurement documentation in accordance with company standards.
