About The Position

Responsibilities: The Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Buyer is responsible for the preparation and issuance of purchase orders for products and services. The job requires regular interaction with the factory staff and engineering department. The MRO Buyer procures, as efficiently and cost effectively as possible, the goods and services for maintenance, repair, and operations which keep the plant running efficiently. Must possess negotiation, analytical, multitasking, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Requirements

• Must possess strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Solid Works or Draftsight.
• Must have knowledge of ACE (US Customs and Border Protection) program, commercial invoice and NAFTA.
• Must have transportation background (creating Bills of Ladings, freight classes, shipping documents).
• Ability to balance tasks and achieve positive results with varying demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful and highly organized while maintaining a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and quality orientation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge in Made 2 Manage beneficial.
• Experience with Engineering and Purchasing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of purchasing and distribution while taking into account cost-effective solutions.
• Obtain materials from suppliers at lowest cost with consideration of safety, quality, and sustainability, reliability of source and urgency of need.
• Coordinate material orders, inventory levels, expedite / prioritize, release of materials, safety stock positions, and disposition of materials.
• Resolve supplier issues relating to quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Cooperate with production, maintenance, engineering, and other departments in the development of MRO material requirements.
