This is a full-time, hybrid position working out of the Palatine, IL office 3 days a week and remotely, if desired, the remaining 2 days. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a purchasing role. What we offer: Competitive Compensation: Hourly range $22-26 based on experience.   • Generate Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Attach shipping directions where necessary on PO’s.
  • Print and forward paperwork to necessary departments.
  • Attend weekly production meeting at 8:30am.
  • Contact vendors that do not respond within 48 hours to confirm receipt of PO.
  • Confirm shipments will be made 24 hours prior to acknowledgement due date.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with logistics partners regarding shipping needs.
  • Notify sales / customers same day of any changes in delivery times.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
  • Communicate with sales / customers regarding orders that will take > 5 business days to ship.
  • Provide tracking information upon request.
  • Provide proof of delivery upon request.
  • Communicate any updates or changes of orders upon request (such as delivery dates).
  • Effective communication and collaboration across departments & with supplier partners.
  • Generate all receipts for drop-ship orders and collaborate with billing team.
  • Enter purchase order receipts, freight charges, ship date & ship confirmations.
  • Key lead as Orders backup and support.
  • Help Finance Admin Team with various projects.
  • Backup for incoming phone calls.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must be located within approximately a one-hour driving distance from our Palatine office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (moderate level).
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and a collaborative team player.
  • Comfortable working under deadlines and with repetitive processes.
  • A distraction-free work from home space if utilizing remote work options.
  • Must pass a drug screening and relevant background checks.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
