Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar purchasing, inventory, or clerical role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with ERP systems (Navision preferred).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong ability to assess critical needs, prioritize urgent responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
  • Hands-on and solution-oriented approach to resolving purchasing and inventory challenges quickly.
  • Ability to adapt rapidly and manage deficiencies within the purchasing function.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly purchase orders; evaluate and facilitate approvals, and coordinate with receivers and buyers to ensure accuracy of all deliveries.
  • Review invoices and related documentation; enter data accurately and maintain inventory levels aligned with targeted inventory goals.
  • Input delivery reports (CCP) and register received goods in Navision; monitor the quality and accuracy of CCP1 documentation and correct receivers when required.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including on-time deliveries and compliance with company quality standards and product specifications; follow up on open purchase orders and clear voided POs from the ERP system.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts as assigned and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Update inventory records and ensure stock levels are maintained at appropriate operational levels.
  • Process requisitions and provide timely status updates to management regarding outstanding and completed orders.
  • Assess the quality of stock received and escalate discrepancies or non-conformances to suppliers and management.
  • Ensure compliance with product specifications, food safety standards, and internal purchasing procedures.
  • Support operational needs with a hands-on approach to ensure all flights are successfully dispatched on time.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned, in accordance with DO & CO standards.
