About The Position

Assist in purchasing materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms for Qarbon Aerospace. You will be heavily engaged with qualifying new vendors, evaluating bids, and negotiating pricing and terms for purchased goods and services. You will also be responsible for tracking purchases, monitoring vendor performance with an emphasis on schedule and quality and maintaining a database of information.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
0-2 years of related experience

Responsibilities

Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
Monitors performance of suppliers.
Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.
Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on order placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
May prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
