About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Purchasing & Production Manager to oversee material procurement, vendor relationships, and assist with production scheduling for our growing design-build landscaping division. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands construction and landscaping operations, and can effectively coordinate between design, field crews, and vendors.

Requirements

3+ years in landscaping, construction, or production management
Knowledge of landscaping materials, hardscaping, and installation processes preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with purchasing, vendor negotiation, and scheduling
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project management or CRM software a plus

Responsibilities

Source and procure materials for landscaping and hardscaping projects (plants, stone, pavers, lighting, irrigation, etc.)
Build and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensure timely ordering and delivery aligned with production schedules
Maintain accurate purchase orders and inventory tracking
Develop and manage Gantt schedules to coordinate crews, materials, and project timelines
Align labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
Coordinate with the design team to ensure smooth project handoffs and crew mobilization
Monitor timelines and proactively adjust as needed
Track job costs and work with leadership to maintain target profit margins
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Support estimating through material takeoffs and vendor pricing as needed
