About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent with direct HVAC industry experience to join our team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and negotiating the purchase of HVAC equipment.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing roles
• Familiarity with inventory control principles
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC parts & supplies (Required)
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Detail-oriented with great time management and organizational skills
• 3 Year HVAC experience (Required)
• Purchasing, Procurement, or Sourcing (Required)

Responsibilities

• Create precise and compliant purchase orders, adhering to company policies and standards
• Monitor stock/inventory levels of assigned branch locations; order products based on forecasts of sales trends
• Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate competitive pricing
• Collaborate with other departments to determine material needs, specifications, and delivery timelines
• Examine purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness, promptly resolving any discrepancies
• Oversee and monitor purchase orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely receipt of goods
• Address discrepancies or damages with suppliers, ensuring seamless coordination of returns and replacements
