As a Purchasing Agent II, you’ll be part of our team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to support the execution of category strategy within their region. You will be a critical thinker that can analyze the current situation, develop a plan to improve, and execute the plan while be able to communicate the plan to obtain internal adoption. You will identify and onboard new suppliers that are in alignment with the category strategy. You will drive world class cost and margin enhancement (TCO Improvement) to deliver 5% YOY productivity. You will lead and manage supplier relationships as the local representative for global affiliates. You will support the Lead Category Manager (LCM) on project management and executing category and regional strategies. You will have experience building category cost models/clean sheets, and monitoring raw material, FX, and market trends. You will have strong influencing and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities. You will have experience working with a global and diverse team in North America. You will have a strong Excel background with experience in ERP systems such as JDE LX.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3+ years purchasing experience
  • Automotive industry in background
  • Strong Excel background with experience in ERP systems such as JDE LX
  • Strong influencing and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of category strategy within their region.
