About The Position

By joining the Division of Mine Reclamation Enforcement as a Purchasing Agent I in Franklin County, you will have the opportunity to oversee and provide technical assistance in the procurement of goods and services for the Division of Mine Reclamation Enforcement.
Requirements
- Four years of purchasing experience.
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- Communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves
- Additional experience in purchasing, administrative, accounting, procurement or a related field will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
- Certification as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) from the Universal Public Certification Council will substitute for one year of the required education.
- Certification as a NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP), or Certification as a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) from the Universal Public Certification Council, or Certification as a Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) from the National Grants Management Association will substitute for two years of the required education.
Responsibilities
- Approve payment documents and travel reimbursements
- Monitor contracts and expenditures for conformance to budgetary requirements
- Create and process requisitions
- Administrative support to Assistant Division Director
- Provide oversight and technical assistance to purchasing officers in procurement-related issues
