This role focuses on the procurement of IT hardware and software. The Purchasing Agent I will prepare and execute purchase orders, work with stakeholders to define technical specifications, and assist with tracking software renewals and maintenance agreements. A key part of the role involves utilizing ServiceNow for request intake, tracking, documentation, and updating receipt status. The agent will also be involved in negotiating quotes, providing data support for negotiations, and representing the procurement function to IT Operations and external vendors. Effective communication, conflict management, issue resolution, and problem-solving are essential. The role requires adherence to established departmental processes and guidelines, collaboration with BT and Finance departments, and understanding of FTI policies. Meeting deadlines, ensuring accuracy, and taking ownership of assigned IT categories are crucial for success.
