About The Position

The Purchasing Accountant sits at the intersection of our procurement and finance functions, making sure every dollar that is committed to vendors is accurately recorded, properly approved, and paid on time. This person will own the full procure-to-pay cycle — matching purchase orders to receipts and invoices, maintaining vendor records, and making sure Orders have been delivered to the Factory in a timely manner. This is a detail-driven role for someone who finds satisfaction in a perfectly reconciled account.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2+ year of accounting, finance or related field experience required in lieu of degree.
Solid grasp of the procure-to-pay cycle and three-way matching.
Strong Excel skills
A sharp eye for detail and a habit of double-checking your own work.
Excellent customer service skills that will ensure positive interactions with our vendors as well as having positive interactions with your co-workers

Nice To Haves

2+ years in Purchasing or general accounting.
Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-heavy environment.
Comfort in an Accounting ERP System
Exposure to process automation or AP software (e.g. Styeline ).

Responsibilities

Prepare and process purchase orders and purchase requisitions
Assist in the procurement process for materials, supplies, and services
Maintain accurate vendor master data, payment terms, and W-9 documentation.
Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
Track open purchase commitments and assist with accruals during month-end close.
Assist in inventory management and control
Assist in maintaining Job Audits to ensure all Jobs have material and labor cost applied accurately
