About The Position

Operates Punch Presses by performing various duties. This role requires the ability to select and set up proper punch and die tooling, adjust and operate the Punch Press for a wide variety of operations, and inspect parts using precision measuring equipment. The position also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization in small groups or one-on-one.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Passes Fabrication Test by 90-day anniversary date.
• Selects proper punch and die tooling from setup specs.
• Sets-up, adjusts, and operates Punch Press to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of work.
• Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data.
• Cleans and organizes work area.
