About The Position

Aquatech is a global provider of water and process technology solutions, helping companies reduce their carbon and recycled-water footprints through innovative approaches for water reuse, desalination, minimal and zero liquid discharge, and critical minerals recovery. The company is seeking a full-time Equipment Engineer IWS for its Canonsburg, PA office. This role is responsible for project execution from an engineering perspective, including equipment specification, customer communication, vendor management, and project scheduling and budgeting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills, with experience in a project-related industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a related field involving knowledge of pumps, valves, and industrial equipment
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret process flow diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings and P&IDs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects with attention to detail.
  • Ability to use MS Office software at a high level of proficiency.
  • Be conversant with water treatment equipment, such as Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis, and Ion Exchange processes.
  • Knowledge of water treatment equipment like Clarifiers, Ultrafilters, Reverse Osmosis, and Ion exchange process.
  • Knowledge of ZLD equipment like Brine Concentrators, Crystallizers, Belt Filter Press, etc., and Wastewater equipment like MBBR, D AF, etc. is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior water/wastewater treatment experience
  • Experience using basic AutoCAD

Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications.
  • Create data sheets for equipment, valves, and instruments based on project scope and process flow diagrams.
  • Maintain the Project Master document list.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for the customer from a project execution perspective.
  • Obtain customer approval for project-related drawings.
  • Review vendor quotes and forward them to purchasing for Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain a bill of materials for project-purchased items.
  • Track shipment and delivery of items to and from the fabricator.
  • Visit vendor locations to inspect skids for the project when necessary.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Prepare a project schedule to provide weekly updates to the customer and relevant departments.
  • Ensure projects remain within budget and explore cost-saving measures.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment on-site.
