About The Position
ABC Pumping Services is looking for a Pump Truck Driver who is dependable, mechanically minded, safety-focused, and ready to earn. This role involves operating company pump trucks, serving residential and commercial customers, tackling challenging jobs, and becoming a trusted professional in an essential industry. The position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to move into a commission-based compensation structure with significantly higher earning potential after training. During training, you'll receive an hourly wage, and after training, you'll move to a commission-based pay structure where income reflects performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
- Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
- Ability to read, understand, and complete scopes of work
Nice To Haves
- Previous pumping or septic industry experience
- Tanker endorsement
- Aerobic septic system installer/service provider experience
- Mechanical or equipment experience
Responsibilities
- Operate a company pump truck safely and professionally
- Provide septic and pumping services for residential and commercial customers
- Respond to both scheduled and emergency service calls
- Perform physically demanding work in all types of weather
- Safely operate vehicles with manual transmissions
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements
- Complete scopes of work accurately with limited supervision
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Maintain equipment and report mechanical issues when needed
- Be available for early-morning starts, varying hours, and a rotating on-call schedule
- Represent ABC Pumping Services with honesty, professionalism, and a commitment to doing the job right
