About The Position

This role involves preparing parts and units for assembly and shipping in a manufacturing plant shop environment. The technician will be responsible for various prepping tasks, staging units, and ensuring proper preparation for shipping, including tagging, plugging, surface cleaning, and torque sealing. The position requires adherence to standard work instructions and may involve other assigned duties. A 3rd shift schedule is specified for this role.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Prepping parts including but not limited to washing, wire wheeling, sanding, grinding, etc.
• Staging units for assembly
• Prepping units for shipping including but not limited to tagging, plugging, surface cleaning, torque sealing, test reports
• Follows standard work instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned
