About The Position

The Pump Shop Technician I supports shop operations by assisting with the cleaning, inspection, assembly, and handling of rod pumps and oilfield equipment. The role helps ensure equipment is prepared safely and efficiently while supporting inventory, shipping, and general shop activities. Applicants must be based in Watford City, North Dakota, to be considered.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Technical aptitude.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be based in Watford City, North Dakota.

• Oil and gas experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow established quality, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Show respect for and take pride in the facilities and equipment.
• Arrive on time and take breaks during designated times.
• Perform other tasks assigned by a manager or provide assistance as needed.
• Pick up and deliver rod pumps and well-site equipment.
• Load and unload field trucks and third-party trucks.
• Receive and stock inventory.
• Use a forklift.
• Act as a spotter or helper for trucking companies.
• Clean and inspect rod pumps and oilfield equipment.
• Use solvents, supplied API-approved tools, and mechanical parts washers.
• Assemble and reassemble rod pumps and oilfield equipment.
• Place stock orders.
• Use a computer and answer phones.
• Wash floors and perform general housekeeping in office and shop spaces.
• Clean bathrooms and remove garbage.
