About The Position

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Pump Station Technician to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of pump stations that are essential to water and wastewater systems. You’ll work with mechanical and electrical equipment, perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and keep systems running safely and efficiently. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Courses/training equivalent to one (1) year of college or vocational training to include basic electricity and other related courses
Thorough knowledge of the national and local electrical codes supplemented by extensive experience in the repair of complicated motor control panels and switches
Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria
Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion
