About The Position

This position maintains and repairs plant pumps and related equipment at PSA and at all lift stations. The incumbent receives work orders daily for repair work, including pumps, air compressors, equipment, vehicles, and trunk lines outside of the plant perimeter. This role may also involve assisting electricians and grounds maintenance. The incumbent determines the priority of work orders based on severity, time needed, backup systems, and operational impact. Troubleshooting and immediate repairs are expected, which may involve crawling into confined spaces. Management is alerted if outside assistance is required. The position also performs preventive maintenance based on a predetermined schedule and is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment. A major challenge is sourcing outdated parts or fabricating replacements, and there can be serious time constraints for repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years mechanical experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to crawl in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in various weather hazards.
• Ability to work with chemicals and hazardous waste.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certificate in a trade.
• CDL preferred.
