About The Position

The primary job of a Pump Operator is to safely drive, set up, operate, and maintain a truck & truck-mounted concrete pumping system at various worksites around Central Ohio. This role involves coordinating with project leaders and site superintendents, performing job safety analyses, ensuring strategic placement of the pump truck, and setting up and priming the pumping system for a smooth flow. The operator will direct the placement of concrete by maneuvering the mounted boom, controlling pressure and flow rate, and maintaining various components of the system. Routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of the pumping system are also key responsibilities, along with submitting necessary documentation and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 1 year of Concrete Pumping experience
CDL B
OSHA 10 Certified (will train, if necessary)
ACPA Certified
Compliant with all DOT medical requirements
Must be able to perform consistent heavy lifting of 40lbs or more
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods at a time
Must be willing to work outside and in inclement weather
Must be able to read, write and understand English
Must be willing to work in a team-centric environment

Responsibilities

Safely drive, set up, operate, and maintain a truck & truck-mounted concrete pumping system.
Coordinate with Project Leaders & site Superintendents.
Perform job safety analysis upon arrival at each worksite.
Ensure strategic placement of pump truck prior to each operation.
Set up and prime the pumping system to ensure a smooth flow.
Direct the placement of concrete by maneuvering mounted boom.
Control the pressure and flow rate to ensure maximum application.
Maintain trailer, line dragon, and other mounted components.
Perform routine maintenance and repair of pumping system.
Routinely clean out pumping system to avoid clogs and malfunctions.
Submit inspection forms, job orders, and maintenance requests.
Perform additional duties as needed or directed by site supervisors.
