Mechanic Position Summary The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and preparing pumps, fluid management equipment, frac tanks, boxes, and related rental assets for customer use. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational readiness. Mechanics support both shop and field operations and may assist with service calls, preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and emergency repairs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience, preferably involving diesel engines, pumps, industrial equipment or heavy equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a moderately clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain pumps, diesel engines, frac tanks, boxes, and related rental equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and routine inspections.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on equipment.
  • Prepare rental equipment for customer deliveries and ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards before release.
  • Conduct equipment inspections upon return and document repair needs.
  • Respond to field service calls and perform repairs at customer locations when required.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of frac tanks, containment systems, and support equipment.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic systems to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work order documentation.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving equipment as operational needs require.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Support branch operations during high-demand periods and assist in other areas as needed.
