Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems (metal and nonmetal piping)
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems (12V DC / 110V AC)
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical assembly practices
  • Ability to work from engineering documentation independently

  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, BOMs, and specifications
  • Independently perform pipe cutting, threading, and installation
  • Assembly of valves, fittings, and piping systems
  • Electrical assembly (harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards)
  • Install and repair plumbing systems per build requirements
  • Perform leak testing using air/water pressure and interpret results
  • Troubleshoot plumbing systems (leaks, flow issues)
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems (12V DC and 110V AC)
  • Diagnose issues, disassemble components, and complete repairs
  • Conduct functional testing of lights, sirens, radios, and warning systems
  • Perform equipment setup and changeovers
  • Identify discrepancies in prints, BOMs, and shop orders
  • Determine root cause of failures and implement corrective actions
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming products
  • Assist in corrective and preventive action processes
  • Consistently meet quality and production standards
  • Participate in LEAN and continuous improvement efforts
  • Demonstrate flexibility across multiple work areas
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
