The Pump Assembler I is responsible for preparing and assembling product. This position is expected to assist other Assemblers while learning to work more independently.
Requirements
- One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
- Experience as a pump mechanic
- Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Responsibilities
- Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas
- Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance
- Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture
- Clean, strip and inspect all required components
- Prepare components for assembly
- Assemble parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers
- Ability to assemble quality products to meet safety protocol and efficiency standards
- Tests or assists in testing the operation of completed product
- Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards
- Troubleshoots, disassembles, and performs a detailed evaluation to determine repair needs and root cause analysis for the following
- Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
- Utilize all PPE
- Perform other routine duties as requested
