Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive Pulmonary care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary outpatient team. Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
- Active and unrestricted NP license
- DEA license required
- CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
- Graduation from an accredited NP program
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Pulmonary (training available if not)
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)
Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonology consults in outpatient settings
- Assess and manage respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, and chronic respiratory failure
- Conduct respiratory-focused evaluations and interpret pulmonary tests and imaging
- Manage oxygen therapy, inhalers, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory medications
- Collaborate with pulmonologists and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on respiratory disease management and smoking cessation
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
