About The Position

The Pulmonologist performs procedures such as: Thoracentesis, Central line placement, Arterial line placements, Bronchoscopies, Bedside bronchoscopies, Intubation procedures, Patient rounding., Bedside echo, PFT interpretations. Providing inpatient consultation, available 24/7 for all inpatient care. Being reachable for consultative care at the request of a referring physician to discuss a patient's case, ensuring timely care. The Pulmonologist provides on-call services. Reviewing consults and triaging daily. Following all established medication policies and procedures. Providing discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for emergency department patients. The Pulmonologist offers post-procedure evaluation, follow-up, and clinical consultation regarding complications of procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have successfully completed an accredited residency and fellowship program.
  • Must have 3 years' experience as a Pulmonologist.
  • Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of medicine.
  • Shall Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary.
  • Must have and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities
