About The Position

In this project, the Pulmonary Physician will apply expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine to fine-tune large language models. The role uses knowledge of respiratory diagnostics, ventilator management, and ICU decision-making to help ensure AI systems provide accurate, empathetic, and safe medical reasoning. The work includes developing and solving advanced clinical scenarios, evaluating AI responses, identifying gaps in the models’ medical understanding, collaborating with AI researchers and medical peers, and providing structured feedback to improve AI systems for clinical and educational use. The position is fully remote and requires a commitment of 20–40 hours per week, with a minimum of four hours per day and overlap with Pacific Time. The engagement is as a contractor or freelancer, has no medical or paid leave, and lasts one month with a possible extension.
