About The Position

Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest in practicing 100% Pulmonary Medicine, to join our welcoming practice in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The provider will primarily perform outpatient consultations, seeing general pulmonary cases such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and post-COVID complications. Outpatient appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes for new patients and 30 minutes for follow-up visits. Comprehensive specialty training will be provided to ensure success in the role.

Requirements

• Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
• Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient consultations
• See general pulmonary cases such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and post COVID complications
• Manage new patient appointments (60 minutes)
• Manage follow-up patient appointments (30 minutes)
