About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our team! The Pulmonary Function Technologist will primarily conduct diagnostic pulmonary function testing, according to the department and organization policies and procedures. He or she will interact with colleagues to provide comprehensive care. The Pulmonary Function Technologist role is a specialized position and requires independent action and decision making, while also following the direction of the ordering clinician. The role requires flexibility, excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to multi-task. This position performs pulmonary function testing and cardiopulmonary diagnostic studies in accordance with department protocols. This role will also perform other respiratory testing duties, including but not limited to, nocturnal oximetry studies, obtaining arterial blood gases, collecting induced sputum samples, nebulizer therapy & qualifying walks (for home oxygen therapy).

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy school.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • BLS
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, critical thinking, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are a necessity.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years’ experience as a respiratory therapist
  • Experience in pulmonary function testing.

Responsibilities
