About The Position
The Pulmonary Critical Care Physician will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing quality care and an excellent patient experience to complex, critically ill patients in a 32-bed adult mixed medical/surgical ICU at St. George Regional Hospital in St. George, Utah. The work includes a mix of pulmonary clinic, pulmonary consultations, and ICU shifts, totaling 1,825 hours annually (1.0 FTE). The ICU cares for general surgery, trauma, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, and medical patients.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
- Residency training in Internal Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or ability to obtain one.
- Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or ability to obtain them.
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
- Candidates requiring visa sponsorship cannot be accepted at this time.
Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary critical care services to complex, critically ill patients.
- Work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide a mix of pulmonary clinic care, pulmonary consultations, and ICU coverage.
