About The Position

This role involves the careful handling and loading of live chickens, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and biosecurity. The position requires identifying and reporting any unusual or policy-violating situations, administering vaccinations, and working in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Standing / walking 100% of the workday.
• Lifting live birds that weight between 4.0-7.0 pounds on average.
• Performing repetitive motion.
• Being able to work in a mostly outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Catch and pick up live chickens by the wings and load them into steel cages.
• Comply with written company policies.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company GMP and biosecurity policies.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or live management official.
• Catch and pick up live chickens by the wings and present them to the vaccinator to be vaccinated.
• Administer vaccinations in appropriate locations in accordance with Peco policy.
