About The Position

Tyndale is a leading Christian publisher with a mission to share God's Word. The Tyndale Alliances team works with partners like NavPress and Focus on the Family, as well as Tyndale's own Rose Publishing imprint, to distribute various resources including books, Bibles, Bible studies, pamphlets, and children's resources. This is a collaborative and fast-paced environment where training and support are provided. The Publishing Assistant will serve as a key coordinator between production, marketing, and administration teams to ensure new and repackaged products are launched on schedule. This role requires strong organizational skills and a desire to contribute to the dissemination of Christian messages.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of administrative or coordination experience managing details and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Internships, on-campus roles, or other comparable experience are acceptable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relational instincts.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple concurrent projects.
  • Diplomatic problem-solver and collaborative team player.
  • Genuine care for coworkers and partners.
  • Self-driven and motivated by producing products that carry life-transforming Christian messages.
  • Able to travel occasionally (less than 10%).
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God's Word, and agreement with Tyndale's Statement of Faith.

  • Publishing industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with a customer or contact database is a plus.
  • Written Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the seasonal publishing schedule on track by prompting internal teams and partners for necessary materials and files, tracking outstanding items, and identifying potential deadline risks.
  • Coordinate product content and copy by entering product information into the production system, uploading author details, and writing and routing back-cover copy, endorsements, and product descriptions.
  • Support the Sales team by coordinating seasonal sales conference materials, building partner-facing schedules, proofing sales sheets, and managing Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs).
  • Prepare marketing content for hand-off by populating internal content systems with marketing elements for partners and internal marketers.
  • Act as a communication hub for partners and internal teams (PR, sales, design, production) to ensure clear and timely communication.
  • Manage administrative tasks including contracts, expense reimbursements, author payments, maintaining databases, placing and tracking orders, completing sales and inventory reports, and supporting meetings and author visits.
