About The Position

This position is responsible for unskilled manual labor in assisting staff in performing various repairs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Related experience preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
• Applicable tools and equipment knowledge
• Knowledge of methods of performing standard repairs
• Knowledge of tool maintenance requirements
• Knowledge of safe work methods and practices
• Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools and equipment
• Performing standard repairs
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment in performing various labor tasks in an assigned area, including setup and take down of equipment.
• Assists staff in performing sewer, water main, and related repairs.
• Cleans and maintains hand tools and power tools, and related equipment.
• Provides lawn care services.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.
