About The Position

This position is responsible for unskilled manual labor in assisting staff in performing various repairs. Essential duties include operating equipment for labor tasks, assisting with sewer and water main repairs, cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, and providing lawn care services. The role requires regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Related experience preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Applicable tools and equipment knowledge
Knowledge of methods of performing standard repairs
Knowledge of tool maintenance requirements
Knowledge of safe work methods and practices
Skill in utilizing a variety of hand and power tools and equipment
Skill in performing standard repairs
Skill in cleaning and maintaining equipment
Skill in utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction

Responsibilities

Operates equipment in performing various labor tasks in an assigned area, including setup and take down of equipment.
Assists staff in performing sewer, water main, and related repairs.
Cleans and maintains hand tools and power tools, and related equipment.
Provides lawn care services.
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.
