About The Position
Inframark is looking for hardworking Public Works Technicians to help maintain parks, roads, public spaces, and community facilities. This role is a great fit for people with experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, parks and recreation, lawn care, construction, or outdoor maintenance. If you have experience operating tractors and other equipment, we want to hear from you. As a Public Works Technician, you'll help maintain and improve the community every day by performing a variety of outdoor and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, parks and recreation, construction, or a related field
- Experience operating tractors or mowing equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to safely use tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work well with a team
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Commitment to safety and quality work
- Candidates must be able to: Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the day
- Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Perform heavy physical work
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely
- Work overtime or non-standard hours when needed
Responsibilities
- Mow rights-of-way, parks, and other public properties
- Trim grass, trees, shrubs, and hedges
- Remove brush, leaves, and debris
- Plant and care for trees, flowers, and landscaping
- Apply fertilizer and weed control products as directed
- Assist with sodding and other landscape projects
- Safely operate equipment such as: Tractors with bush hogs, Lawn mowers, Weed eaters, Chippers, Chain saws, Backhoes, Jackhammers, Leaf collection equipment
- Help maintain and fuel equipment and vehicles
- Repair sidewalks, curbs, and other concrete surfaces
- Help maintain roads and public facilities
- Clean drainage systems and remove roadway debris
- Install and maintain traffic and street signs
- Assist with fence repairs and minor building maintenance
- Support storm cleanup and emergency response efforts
- Help set up and take down equipment for festivals, parades, and public events
- Set up stages, decorations, and event areas
- Assist with cleanup during and after events
