About The Position

Join our public works operations team in a vital role that performs the full range of maintenance duties! The City provides exceptional benefits, training, and helps obtain certifications & licenses (including CDL). The ideal candidate is a dependable, motivated team player with an ability to perform the full range of public works maintenance, construction, and improvement duties. This position may rotate between Streets, Flood, Sewer, or Traffic assignments and requires outdoor physical activity. It is a crucial role that ensures the safety and functionality of our City’s infrastructure.

Requirements

• Educational achievement equivalent to high school diploma or equivalency.
• Public Works Maintenance Worker I: Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license, with a safe driving record, at time of appointment.
• Public Works Maintenance Worker II: Possession of a valid Class B California driver's license, with a safe driving record, at time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• Public Works Maintenance Worker I: Experience in public works construction, maintenance, landscaping, and improvements preferred.
• Public Works Maintenance Worker II: At least one year of experience in public works construction, maintenance, landscaping, and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of public works maintenance, construction, and improvement duties.
• Rotate between Streets, Flood, Sewer, or Traffic assignments.
• Engage in outdoor physical activity.
• Ensure the safety and functionality of the City’s infrastructure.
