About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Public Space Attendant for Hotel Cala, a luxury hotel in Tampa scheduled to open in January 2027. The role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining hotel public spaces to quality standards, keeping guest-facing areas neat and attractive, communicating task priorities by two-way radio, delivering requested items to guest rooms, and assisting with guest-room cleaning as needed. The position calls for an outgoing, team-oriented person with a customer-service focus and the ability to communicate effectively and exceed guest expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum high school education.
• Minimum of one year in a housekeeping role.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, and stairwells, to meet quality standards.
• Clean bathrooms; dust furniture and pictures; and vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Empty carts of soiled linen and dispose of trash.
• Communicate efficiently over a two-way radio to ensure tasks are prioritized.
• Keep the lobby, elevators, stairways, hallways, and Front Desk area clean, neat, and free of rubbish and debris.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms in a neat and orderly condition; check them once an hour to ensure they remain clean.
• Remove spots, insects, and debris; polish fixtures; and clean ashtrays.
• Deliver items to rooms upon request and assist with cleaning guest rooms as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
