About The Position

A Public Space Attendant is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive entrances, restrooms, office areas, vinyl, stone, and other hard floor surfaces, carpet, hallways, and public areas of the property, servicing restrooms daily in accordance with procedures, stocking cart with supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances, this role would also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public areas.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with HCW Management standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the property.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
  • Comply at all times with HCW Management standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient property operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the restrooms.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, cleaning supplies for housekeeping cart set-up.
  • Sweep and remove all trash to appropriate receptacles.
  • Clean office areas.
  • Patrols looking for spills and other hazards to guests and staff. Cleans up wet or dry spills, or calls for assistance to clean up larger spills.
  • Wipes down common area furniture.
  • Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May use cleaning chemicals, mops, buckets, rags, brooms, vacuum cleaners, commercial ride-on or walk-behind floor scrubbing machines, electric and/or propane floor buffer, and other equipment to accomplish tasks.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, touching up paint on walls/molding, touching up scratched furniture, or deep cleaning carpets and hard surfaces.
